Brian Donnelly (CEO/Founder): Brian Donnelly is the founder and CEO of Donnelly Partners, LLC, an introducing broker. Previously, Mr. Donnelly was a Vice-President at Goldman Sachs in New York City, where he successfully launched their Energy Brokerage Business. Prior to Goldman, he led Tullett Prebon’s Natural Gas Futures and Options business and was the Principal of their Texas Franchise. Mr. Donnelly graduated from Boston College with a BS In Accounting. He holds various financial licenses including the Series 3, Series 30, Series 7, Series 63, and Series 24. Brian is an active investor in early-stage technology companies, hospitality, real estate, and private equity. He supports various charities including the Menil Collection and Discovery Green in Houston. Mr. Donnelly splits his time between Houston and Austin.
Matt Parker: Prior to joining the Donnelly Partners, Mr. Parker spent nine years as a portfolio manager at two energy hedge funds in Houston. At Goldfinch Capital, Mr. Parker traded natural gas futures and options, and worked closely with research analysts and portfolio managers to develop profitable investment strategies. Prior to working at Goldfinch. Mr. Parker was a managing director and principal at SandRidge Capital in Houston, where he invested up to a quarter of fund assets and was involved in all aspects of managing the business, including trading, research, risk-management, incentive compensation, and fund-raising. Mr. Parker got his start in the energy business while working as a risk manager at Koch Energy Trading in 1997. He left the successor entity of Koch Energy Trading, Merrill Lynch Commodities, as a Vice-President in 2006 and was responsible for trading natural gas and crude oil options. Mr. Parker also has experience as an Investment Banking Intern at Merrill Lynch in New York, and as an Auditor for Price Waterhouse in Houston. Mr. Parker holds an MBA from the University of Texas, is a CFA charterholder, and a CPA.
Mike Ahern: Mr. Ahern joined Donnelly Partners in August 2016. Prior to Donnelly Partners, Mr. Ahern worked on financial regulatory policy in the U.S. Congress for over a decade. Mr. Ahern has a BS in Economics from UC San Diego and a MS in Finance from Johns Hopkins University. Mr. Ahern is a CFA Level II Candidate and holds his Series 3 and 30 licenses.
Mustafa Ali: Mr. Ali joined Donnelly Partners in May 2016 as an analyst. He has been in the energy and hedge fund space since graduating from the University of Texas in 2015. Mr. Ali holds his Series 3 license and is a CFA Level III Candidate.
